Meet new people, learn new skills and experience amazing performances!

If you have an interest in hospitality, arts-in-education, special events, marketing, public relations, ushering, or arts administration, we have volunteer opportunities for you.

Volunteers are essential to the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts. Not only do they bring their creative energy and support to the theatre, but they also provide an important link to communities and neighborhoods throughout Western North Carolina.

Ushering

The Wortham Center has a strong Volunteer Usher Corps of more than 100 dedicated individuals who provide service for shows in the Wortham Center Presents Season.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

  • General office tasks (requires computer experience with Microsoft Office)
  • Hanging posters or other grassroots marketing assistance
