Dive into engaging scene work and connect with a community of artists in this foundational adult acting class led by accomplished stage and screen actor Jennifer Gatti. Using scenes and monologues from plays and films, students will learn to breathe life into a script through text analysis, character study, and various rehearsal and improvisational techniques. Pulling from decades of work as an actor in L.A. and N.Y.C., Jennifer will guide actors through the process of clarifying objectives, diversifying actions, and unleashing spontaneity. Whether you are revisiting acting after many years or honing your skills, this class will celebrate each participant’s individuality and provide tools and confidence for the future.
Space is limited. Rehearsal with scene partners outside of class is required. To help with logistics, accommodations can be made for partners to meet at the Wortham for set days/times when the facility is available.
