The nation’s largest comedy club network is back! After a popular run last season, this hilarious collective returns to bring top-notch comedians for four weekends of side-splitting laughter. Some of the hottest stand-up comedians of today — seen in specials on Comedy Central, HBO Comedy, Netflix, Hulu and more — deliver witty one-liners, preposterous punchlines and hysterical anecdotes that will keep you laughing all night long. Contains adult content.
The intimate Tina McGuire Theatre is general admission seating. Limited table top seats for The Comedy Zone are available on a first come, first served basis.
Café Specials: Come early and/or stay after the shows and hang in the lobby! For The Comedy Zone shows only, the café will offer drink specials ($5 local draft beers and 20% off bottles of wine), specialty “graze cups” from Asheville Charcuterie Company (limited quantity), and party music in the lobby!
Headliner Leonard Ouzts
At 26 years old, Leonard Ouzts is a distinct rising voice in the world of stand-up comedy. A native of Virginia, his southern upbringing shaped his down to earth, observational comedic style. Leonard can most recently be seen in a breakout role of the producer Lawrence in season two of the Netflix series MASTER OF NONE. He has performed stand-up on CONAN, ADAM DEVINE’S HOUSE PARTY, and AXS’ GOTHAM COMEDY LIVE. He can also be seen in multiple episodes of TruTV’s COMEDY KNOCKOUT, MTV’s JOKING OFF, upcoming episodes of the MTV series WILD N OUT. Leonard was selected as a NEW FACE at the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs Festival and was most recently named by RollingStone.com as a Top Ten Comic To Watch. Leonard can currently be seen playing James on the NBC comedy Abby’s opposite Natalie Morales.
Feature opener Alex Scott
F. Alex Scott, born Frederic Alexander Scott in Culpeper, VA, began his comedy career in 1997 in Washington D.C. while he was enlisted in the United States Air Force. Entering the D.C. Comedian of the Year contest, after never have being on stage, Alex placed second to Cocoa Brown, star of Tyler Perry’s Single Mom’s Club. After only 7 months of performing, he quickly earned national fame by being selected to perform on B.E.T’s Comic View. After years of sleeping on couches and showcasing in clubs, he was discovered by Kevin Nealon, who introduced him to the world-famous Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard, helping to further launch his career. In addition to Comic View, Alex has had appearances on B.E.T.’s Coming to the Stage and Kevin Hart’s One Mic Stand, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, Stand Up and Deliver on NUVO TV, and Bounce TV’s Off the Chain. He has written for the Steve Harvey Show and more recently the new Arsenio Hall Show. The son of preacher, Alex has decided to return to college, attend seminary and film his new TV show, My Walk, chronicling his life as a comedian turned soon-to-be pastor.
